As a world leader in the design and manufacturing industry, Active Dynamics is seeking an eager and enthusiastic experienced Customer Service Representative to join our successful Toronto team immediately. We are looking for a talent with solid professional skills in the manufacturing industry.

The Customer Service Rep is responsible for providing excellent communication and organizational service to our internal and external customers, coordinating and executing a broad range of customer service activities for our company, and contributing to the efficient day-to-day operations of the Customer Service department. As a Sales and Program Management team member, this role is part of a high-performing work system that emphasizes teamwork and excellent customer service.

This position reports to the Customer Service Manager.

What you will be doing:

  • Processing sales orders, which includes verifying correct pricing, and part numbers, and ensuring all company policies have been followed
  • Tracking the status of customer orders order using internal tools and processes
  • Manage, analyze and reconcile customer order movements both internally and externally
  • Monitor and coordinate customer purchase order releases and cancellations
  • Tracking recurring issues that arise in the order entry process and proactively recommending solutions to improve the process
  • Handling complaints, settling disputes and negotiating with both internal and external customers
  • Analyzing forecast information to compare and identify the underlying principles, reasons, and facts behind movement changes
  • Monitoring order trends
  • Reviewing orders for completeness according to business rules and forwarding incomplete orders for review by other departments
  • Conferring with production, sales, and shipping to expedite or trace shipments
  • Checking inventory records to determine the availability of the requested product
  • Calculating and compiling order-related statistics, and preparing reports for management
  • Participate in and complete special projects as assigned, including automation efforts, system testing, and customer research, and represent Active Dynamics in company projects and meetings
  • Developing constructive and cooperative working relationships with others, and maintaining them over time
  • Assisting with new product releases and other projects
  • Other duties and responsibilities as required
What you bring along:
  • Post-Secondary Education with a focus in Business or Administration
  • 3-to 5 years of Customer Service experience, ideally within a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office including Excel
  • Strong experience in SAP and EDI
  • Experience with Syspro is an asset
  • High level of professionalism
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational skills with strong business acumen and attention to detail, and accuracy
  • Ability to prioritize and deliver results in a demanding environment with multiple changing priorities and aggressive deadlines
