Nature of Work:

Employees in this position will perform a variety of functions that will ensure the smooth operation of the Field House Customer Service Desk. Customer Service Staff (CSS) must be knowledgeable on all programs and services, program requirements, and general information regarding The Works services. CSS will be ready to receive customers, assist with access control, and be responsible for the performance of the duties as listed below.

Customer Service Staff are to be professional and courteous at all times. Professional conduct is of utmost importance as a CSS provider. The interaction should be upbeat, cheerful, helpful, quick and efficient. In addition to having knowledge of all programs and pricing options at the Field House, CSS are expected to know information as it relates to Aquarena programs, bookings, and memberships.

Duties and Responsibilities:



Maintaining overall control of the Public entering the facility, controlling access to the change rooms and ensuring payment of programs and services are received. Swiping each student and membership card. Giving each customer an access band and informing them on general rules, regulations, and what is available to them corresponding to the drop in or membership they have purchased. Responsible for cash handling, balancing cash, and preparing daily cash reports. Accountable for the sale of memberships and accurate and complete record keeping. Making certain that all customer forms are filled out correctly and completely. Inform customers on general rules and regulations and what is available to them corresponding to the drop in or membership they have purchased. Using RecTrac software for check-in, bookings, etc. Ensures brochure racks are filled with program information. Brochures are kept in the bottom two drawers of the supervisor's cabinet. Monitor facility music. Turning off/on before/after fitness classes. Ensure that up-to-date information on programs and program changes are provided to customers, and that such cancellations are posted on the notice board. CSS must be versed with all the information in the brochures including membership options in the Aquarena. If a customer requires information on activities or programs in the Field House, or Aquarena, they must be able to provide them with the information. Assist customers with the proper process for canceling memberships and ensure all required information is attached to the cancellation forms. And other duties as assigned.

Education and Qualifications:



High school graduate Training and/or experience related to the performance of customer service duties and responsibilities Available for work on a call-in or part-time basis
Customer Service Staff must have an enthusiastic attitude, a strong desire to deliver excellent service, be neat in appearance and have excellent telephone and communication skills. They must have the ability to carry out instructions accurately and quickly, be able to produce quality work, and maintain a positive and friendly attitude.

Experience:



Experience in similar environment or service industry where the main purpose of the position was to serve customers. Experience with cash handling, answering phones, providing detailed information, and working with computer programs is needed.
