Customer Service Representative
to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our waste management facilities, coordinating logistics, and providing exceptional customer service.
Duties
Dispatching:
Efficiently schedule and dispatch a fleet of waste management vehicles based on customer needs, optimizing routes for time and fuel efficiency. Review and complete routes using industry-specific software.
Scale Operations:
Accurately weigh incoming and outgoing waste materials using the scale system, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and maintaining precise records.
Customer Service:
Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries. Provide prompt and courteous assistance, resolve issues, and address concerns professionally.
Logistics Coordination:
Collaborate with drivers and other departments to ensure timely pick-ups and deliveries, monitoring progress, and addressing any deviations or delays.
Data Management:
Maintain accurate records and generate reports related to dispatching, scale operations, customer interactions, and other relevant metrics.
Safety Compliance:
Follow all safety guidelines and procedures, promote a culture of safety awareness, and report potential hazards or incidents.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in logistics or related field is a plus.
Prior experience as a dispatcher, scale operator, or in a similar role is preferred.
Excellent customer service skills.
Familiarity with waste management operations and regulations is advantageous.
Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with customers, drivers, and internal teams.
Proficiency in computer systems and software applications related to dispatching and scale operations.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and handle stressful situations calmly.
Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
Problem-solving skills and ability to implement solutions as challenges arise.
Pay:
$17.00 -$21.00/hr
with potential for higher based on experience and qualifications
