Job Description


We are currently looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Customer Service Representative to join our growing client in Scarborough. We are seeking a professional with a strong background in the manufacturing sector.

As a key member of our team, the Customer Service Representative will be responsible for delivering exceptional communication and organizational support to both internal and external stakeholders. This role involves managing and executing a wide range of customer service tasks, contributing to the smooth day-to-day operations of the Customer Service department. This position is integral to our high-performing work environment, which places a strong emphasis on teamwork and top-quality customer service.

Reporting to the Customer Service Manager, your responsibilities will encompass:
- Handling customer orders, ensuring accuracy in pricing and product details, and compliance with company policies.
- Monitoring and tracking customer orders using internal systems.
- Managing and analyzing customer order activities, both internally and externally.
- Coordinating customer purchase order activities and managing cancellations.
- Identifying and resolving recurring issues in the order entry process, proposing enhancements where needed.
- Addressing customer complaints, resolving disputes, and negotiating with internal and external clients.
- Analyzing forecast data to understand shifts in order movements.
- Keeping an eye on order trends.
- Reviewing orders for completeness and forwarding incomplete orders for further review.
- Collaborating with production, sales, and shipping teams to expedite or trace shipments.
- Checking inventory records to ensure product availability.
- Compiling order-related statistics and preparing reports for management.
- Participating in special projects, including process automation, system testing, and customer research.
- Cultivating positive working relationships with colleagues and representing the company in various projects and meetings.
- Assisting with new product releases and undertaking other tasks as required.

To thrive in this role, you should have:
- Completed post-secondary education with a focus on Business or Administration.
- Accumulated 3 to 5 years of Customer Service experience, ideally within a dynamic manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Strong familiarity with systems such as SAP and EDI.
- Experience with Syspro is a valuable asset.
- Demonstrated professionalism.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational abilities, with meticulous attention to detail and precision.
- The ability to effectively prioritize tasks and deliver results in a dynamic setting with shifting priorities and tight timelines.
