Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused

Customer Service Representative

to join our colour experts team. This role is essential in delivering exceptional service to our contractors and DIY clients. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn, physically fit (able to retrieve heavy material from shelves and floor stacks; lift and carry up to 50 lbs) and possess a team mindset - a must for a small business where responsibilities span a wide range. Working at least every second Saturday is a must.

Duties

Providing second to none customer service. Providing in-store colour consultations. Selling paint, wallpaper, window treatments, sundries & decor. Performing opening and closing procedures correctly. Ensuring sales transactions are completed accurately using our specific POS system (Decor). Handle cash and operate the Interac machine. Maintaining precise customer files and history within Decor. Pulling appropriate paint products from the sales floor or warehouse, tint and mix them to customer specifications. General merchandising including pricing products, stocking shelves and setting up displays. Cleaning and maintaining store equipment. General cleaning and maintenance of show room. Shipping and receiving, unloading trucks, unpacking shipments of merchandise and put away. Up selling when appropriate to higher end products and/or encouraging purchases of sundries and other "tools of the trade" when selling paint. Offering product information to customers on Hunter Douglas window treatments. At times, act as a liaison between customers and their contractors. Work with other team members to achieve monthly sales goals for the store.

Experience

Proven experience in customer service or related roles is an asset. Proven ability to follow processes and procedures as outlined by the company. Interest in the paint or and/or decor industry preferred but extensive training and ongoing product knowledge refreshers are provided.
Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.65-$16.10 per hour

Expected hours: 8 - 24 per week
