Customer Service Representative - APPS Transport Group
APPS Transport Group currently has an opening for a
Customer Service Representative
(Monday to Friday shift). Reporting to the
Customer Service Manager
, this individual will collaborate with various departments to meet customer commitments.
Job Responsibilities:
Respond to customer inquiries via
telephone and email
promptly and professionally.
Track and trace
pickups and deliveries
(locally & Westbound).
Book
pickup appointments
and accept
EDI orders
.
Work closely with
dispatch, CS Payables, sales reps, dock, and OSDR
to accommodate customer needs.
Handle
special requests
based on customer requirements.
Enter
real-time notes
into probills as events occur.
Retrieve and provide
PODs/BOLs
as needed.
Monitor
dock reports
and follow up with customers on potential shipment delays.
Notify customers of
delays
for outbound containers moving Westbound.
Coordinate with
West terminals
to ensure smooth operations.
Manage
Command Pages
and update
customer portals
.
Perform other
administrative and support duties
as required.
Requirements:
2+ years of experience
in a customer support role with a strong motivation to assist customers and resolve issues.
Transportation industry experience
is an asset.
Ability to handle
stressful situations
professionally and diplomatically.
Strong
problem-solving skills
and
excellent interpersonal skills
.
Proficiency in
MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
(experience with
TruckMate
is an asset).
Strong
verbal and written communication skills
.
Highly
organized
, detail-oriented, and able to
multi-task
under time-sensitive conditions.
Proactive with
initiative and confidence
in internal and external communication.
Completed
post-secondary education
is an asset.
Ability to
sit for extended periods
.
