Our client is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Customer Service Representative to join their team in a fast-paced manufacturing and distribution environment. Reporting to the Customer Service Manager, this role serves as a key point of contact between the company and its customers, partners, and internal departments. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional service, ensure order accuracy, and maintain strong communication across all levels of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately process and manage customer orders, ensuring timely updates on order status, availability, and delivery schedules.
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries via phone, email, and online chat, providing clear and professional communication at all times.
- Collaborate with Sales, Operations, Purchasing, and Logistics teams to coordinate order fulfillment and resolve any service or product issues.
- Monitor order progress and proactively address potential delays or supply chain challenges.
- Support day-to-day administrative activities within the Customer Service department, assisting with documentation, reporting, and special projects as needed.
- Identify customer needs and opportunities for product recommendations or process improvements.
- Manage time effectively, balancing multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy.
- Contribute to a positive team environment by demonstrating professionalism, accountability, and a customer-first mindset.
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education required.
- 3-5 years' experience in a high-volume, customer-facing role within a manufacturing, distribution, or industrial setting.
- Proficient with MS Office (particularly Excel) and Adobe; experience with ERP or order management systems is an asset.
- Strong business communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Highly organized self-starter with excellent time management, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities.
