About the Role
As a Customer Service Representative, you'll be the first point of contact for our customers, delivering exceptional service and support. You'll assist with account inquiries, process payments, maintain financial records, and contribute to a positive customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
Open and prepare the front counter for daily operations
Greet and assist customers, directing them to appropriate personnel
Support customers by responding to account inquiries, arranging payment plans, and updating account details
Process payments via multiple platforms and methods
Balance daily transactions and prepare revenue reports and bank deposits
Manage daily financial transactions including preparing cash summaries, bank deposits, and petty cash
Process electronic cheques, online payments, and related reports with precision
Communicate with customers to resolve payment discrepancies
Assist with bulk water accounts and service turn-ons
Manage incoming and outgoing mail and maintain postage meter funds
Maintain organized and accurate paper and electronic records related to revenue reporting and financial documentation.
Safeguard sensitive financial data in accordance with PCI standards
Provide administrative support to Finance and Account Services team
Perform other duties as required
Qualifications and Required Skills
Certificate in Office or Business Administration
Knowledge of accounting theory related to cash receipts and computerized cash systems
Proficiency in data entry, financial and billing software, and Point of Sale terminals
Strong skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Experience with Inhance, Business Central and Flowpoint is an asset
Extensive customer service experience with strong communication and problem-solving skills
Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment
Professionalism in handling confidential and sensitive customer interactions
