Who are we looking for?
We are currently seeking a reliable and resourceful full-time Customer Service Representative (Inside Sales) to join our dynamic team in our Mississauga, Ontario location.
Reporting to the Branch Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical product information, cost quotations, stock status and delivery information to customers. The Customer Service Representative (Inside Sales) will reach business targets through excellent telephone sales and communication skills, while also developing revenue generation through the creation of sales leads, initiation of prospect calls and establishment of ongoing rapport with existing and potential customers.
Main responsibilities:
Responds to customer inquiries regarding product selection, placement of orders for standard products and services, requests for prices and quotations and handles customer credits and complaints.
Fill requests for product literature or other information.
Expedite orders through the purchasing department to ensure that order promise dates are met.
Coordinate activities with internal company departments, vendors, and common carriers.
Access, update and maintain records for individual accounts using the Customer Relationship Management software.
Perform duties to provide technical and product assistance to customers to generate new and repeat sales.
Assess the customer's application and suggest products or services to best suit the customer's needs.
Quote prices, terms of sales, availability, delivery dates and related information and process orders.
Resolve any product issues customers may have related to quality or mis-shipments.
Resolve receivable issues that may prevent an order from shipping to a particular customer.
Assist Territory Sales Manager/Technical Sales Representatives
After hour callouts to supply customer's needs, as required.
Service walk-in counter customers for pickups, product identification and order entry.
Perform other duties as requested by management.
Able to work in the warehouse if needed
Skills:
Relationship builder with external and internal customers
Strong verbal skills when utilizing phone
Effective written communicator
Technical aptitude to understand customers' applications and offer product solutions
Utilize manufacturing product catalogs and websites to identify and source products
Able to utilize calipers to accurately measure samples.
Ability to convert fractions to decimal equivalents and metric to English dimensions
Efficient order entry computer skills
Qualifications:
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
Post-secondary education is an asset
Basic computer keyboarding
Self-starter and self-motivated
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
