Customer Service Representative

to join our VALUES based organization.


SCOPE OF POSITION:



The

Customer Service Representative

serves as the key communication link between customers, sales, shipping, and scheduling teams. This role is essential in building and maintaining both internal and external relationships, contributing directly to the success of the company. The successful candidate will be assigned a specific geographical region and will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong working relationships with existing customers and prospective clients.


Responsibilities and Essential Functions:



Manage and support assigned customer accounts, providing ongoing assistance and follow-up. Process and monitor orders, including outreach to major accounts as needed. Gather and verify customer information efficiently; assess and fulfill customer needs; educate clients on processes and document all interactions using contact tracking tools. Address and resolve customer issues over the phone in a timely and professional manner. Respond to and resolve customer questions and concerns in a timely manner. Identify and recommend opportunities to improve processes and enhance the customer experience. Provide support to sales representatives with account management and related activities.

Key Competencies:



Ability to manage a high volume of calls, internal inquiries, and frequent interruptions in an open-concept environment. Strong commitment to customer satisfaction with a passion for delivering excellent service. Well-organized and able to meet deadlines under pressure. Clear and professional communication skills, both verbal and written, in English and French. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office programs. Sound judgment and the ability to make independent decisions. Strong work ethic and a collaborative team player attitude. Occasional travel may be required; a valid driver's license and passport are necessary.

Work Environment and Physical Demands:




Office environment with exposure to varying temperatures and minimal dust. Primarily a sedentary role, requiring extended use of a computer, phone, and office equipment. Occasional movement within the office to access files or supplies. Occasionally required to lift boxes (up to 25 lbs).

Required Credentials:




1-3 years of experience in a customer service role within an office or administrative environment. Post-secondary diploma or equivalent combination of education and related work experience. Bilingualism in English and French is required. Knowledge of AX Microsoft Dynamic 2012 will be considered a strong asset. Familiarity with the building materials industry, including moulding, residential, and commercial construction, is beneficial.

$48,000 to $50,000 per year based on experience
