The Customer Service Professionals (CSP) are responsible for providing World Class Customer Service for all contractors, builders and residential customers. The Customer Service Professional must have the ability to effectively communicate with customers and coworkers, gain an understanding of customer needs as they pertain to the construction industry, and meet those needs in an optimal fashion.

Daily Operations:
Follows proper sales procedures and proper scheduling of delivery services.
Responsible for maintaining branch appearance according to branch standards guidelines.
Accurately closes tills, and reconciles all discrepancies. - Level 2
Effectively processes special orders. Creates the proper purchase order in the appropriate branch, including following up with vendors for order confirmations. - Level 2
Contributes to Inventory Management by assisting with inventory management with the use of barcode scanners, ensuring that shelves are front-faced, overstock brought down to flush-fill shelves, reviewing stock adjustments, negative inventory reporting, deadstock reporting and slow moving reports, and assists with receiving PO's. - Level 3
Business Objectives:
Works together with the Branch team to achieve key performance indicators (KPIs).
Promotes the Turkstra Mill, Truss and Panel Plant, Lawson Lumber, and Turkstra Design Centre as part of our complete company offering.
Supports the Turkstra Build-it-Better program.
Participates in social media opportunities and assists the Marketing Team by providing relevant content for web and social media. - Level 3
Training and Development:
Completes all LMS course assignments within assigned timeframe.
Assists in the training and support of coworkers (when and where appropriate).
Completes level 1 K8 learning path and effectively demonstrates knowledge and comprehension.
Complete level 1 retail sales learning path and effectively demonstrate knowledge and comprehension.
Additional Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for any and all other duties as may be required from time to time in accordance with proper training and certification requirements.
Qualifications:
Education/Experience Requirements:
General interest in the construction industry.
Experience or knowledge with related products and services.
Vocational training is an asset.
Experience in construction industry is an asset.
Abilities/Skill Requirements:
Customer focused.
Communication skills, both verbal and written.
Product Knowledge.
Strong attention to detail.
General math and measuring skills.
Ability to work in a fast pace work environment.
Physical Requirements:
Minimum lift requirement of 66 lbs.
Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
