Responsible for overseeing customer order fulfillment, including shopping for customer orders, supervising team members, planning efficient delivery routes, and ensuring customer satisfaction. Ensures timely delivery, resolves client issues, and monitors service standards. This role combines frontline execution with supervisory responsibilities and logistical planning.
Responsibilities
Supervision & Staff Coordination
Supervise and schedule the activities of delivery staff.
Monitor drivers to ensure they are taking all boxes for orders, delivering on time, accurately weighing, and entering information for AWBs.
Train new team members on customer service standards and safe delivery practices.
Monitor performance and ensure compliance with health, safety, and company procedures.
Oversee the order desk when the manager and assistant manager are not available
Ensure the backroom is clean and organized at all times.
Route Planning & Delivery Management
Review daily customer orders and prioritize based on delivery timelines and geographic location.
Develop efficient delivery routes to meet service commitments and minimize delivery time and fuel use.
Coordinate delivery schedules, taking into account customer availability, order urgency, and road conditions.
Ensure delivery vehicle safety checks are completed and any issues reported promptly.
Customer Service & Issue Resolution
Maintain service logs and customer feedback records to improve future service.
Supervise and support the order desk team, ensuring orders are processed accurately and on time.
Coordinate with other departments to ensure order fulfillment and customer satisfaction.
Identify areas for process improvement to enhance efficiency.
Administrative
Maintain delivery and customer service logs for internal tracking.
Participate in strategic planning related to customer service improvements and logistical efficiency.
Ensure AWBs are inputted for tracking.
Complete Transportation of Dangerous Goods paperwork
Ensure vehicle logs are being completed and vehicles are ready for business
