Customer Service Agent

LOCATION

: Nanaimo, B.C.

SHIFT

: 40 hours /week and will include weekends

TERM:

Maternity Leave Coverage -1 year

WAGE:

Starting at$23.00/hr

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Respond promptly to incoming calls and emails related to flight reservations and travel enquiries and provide detailed and accurate information on our fare tiers, including policies and schedules and rates

Greeting and checking in passengers including verifying travel documents, weighing and tagging luggage, collecting payments, and handling cargo

Preparing passenger manifests, and ensuring accurate information is recorded

Aircraft scheduling and flight following

Conduct radio communication effectively with the pilots and flight following of aircraft

Balance & complete daily financial transaction reports

Required Qualifications:

Excellent verbal communication skills, including clarity, professionalism and customer engagement

Highly organized and strong attention to detail

Proficiency in computer operations including MS Word & Excel & Outlook

Previous experience handling high volume, multi-line telephone systems in a fast-paced environment.

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and capable of loading luggage cart

Previous experience in a customer service role required (minimum 3 years required)

Previous experience in the airline industry or tourism and travel industries is an asset

Geographical knowledge of BC's West Coast is an asset
