We also manufacture private label diapers and training pants for North American retailers.

The Customer Finance Specialist will be based out of Dieppe, New Brunswick (100 Midland Drive, E1A 7G9).

The Customer Finance Specialist is responsible for ensuring customer claims are valid per promotional agreements and retain appropriate backup for Validation/Audits. Work closely with Sales Finance Analyst (SFA) and Key Account Managers (KAM) to determine actual spend against promotions to complete Settlement of Promotions. A partnership with Customer Service to ensure accurate invoice price to customers. Partnership with Accounting to ensure accruals are booked accurately & timely to reflect correct gross profits. This is a permanent, full-time position. The primary language of work is English.

Job Requirements

• 2 years Finance experience
• Accounting Diploma or equivalent experience
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Must be very detail oriented
• Ability to drive improvements
• Strong communication skills due to contact with Sales & Internal customers
• Advanced Excel skills for analysis
• Ability to work well independently and with a team.
• Ability to adapt to a fast paced, dynamic working environment.

The main duties/responsibilities of this role include:

Deductions and Trade Payments

• Accurately allocate customer claims to proper event, investigate validity by gathering & retaining supporting documentation, Proof of performance, volume validation, approvals, etc.
• Forward unauthorized claims, with proof, to Customer Finance Repay Specialist
• Assist KAM\xe2\x80\x99s to ensure promotions are setup correctly/easily for validation and compliant with JDE integration \xe2\x80\x93 Accrual validation & setup
• Notify KAM\xe2\x80\x99s of claims that do not match promotions & follow-up
• Work closely with KAM\xe2\x80\x99s & SFA\xe2\x80\x99s on closing promotions for Settlement of Funds and provide details of actual claims against promos if needed (Monthly)
• Internal compliance audits of promotions vs. deal sheets
• Clearing deductions off customer accounts once coded
• Analyze customer specific investments with regards to promotions planned, accruals, budgets & prior year spending

Other Related Duties

• Setup & maintenance of Gross List Price
• Liaise with Customer Service and Sales to resolve order issues: pricing, quantity, items & pricing credits.
• Prepaid account balancing/quarterly customer
• Transfer pricing entry
• Clearance & export pricing entry
• Handle \xe2\x80\x9cother\xe2\x80\x9d claims \xe2\x80\x93 Marketing/Listing/Logistics
• Entry of category codes on NPF\xe2\x80\x99s & AB entries in Appian

Month End

• Balance month end GL accounts and customer forecasting reconciliations
• KPI reporting for trending/audit compliance
• Error reporting \xe2\x80\x93 promos & GL inconsistencies
• Broker commission calculations

Project Management

• Participate in Customer Finance projects where necessary and drive process improvements, if needed
