This role involves coordinating and assisting with developing marketing plans and materials, supporting events, and managing Transit activities. The ideal candidate will be a skilled communicator with a passion for customer service and a keen eye for detail.Key Responsibilities:Operation Support

  • Assist with developing marketing and communication plans and projects.
  • Contribute with developing and coordinate internal and external marketing materials, including advertising, web content, and publications.
Customer Service
  • Respond to inquiries from internal and external customers.
  • Liaise with external suppliers and vendors to negotiate pricing and deadlines.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with cross-functional teams and management.
  • Represent Transit at forums, events and outreach.
Communication and Reporting
  • Develop project plans for targeted campaigns.
  • Support internal and external media initiatives.
  • Monitor, compile, and report on marketing and communications campaign metrics.
  • Assist in implementing Brampton Transit's communication strategies.
Corporate Contribution
  • Conduct Transit-specific research to gain insights into market trends.
  • Track and report on industry trends.
  • Provide recommendations regarding marketing strategy.
Teamwork and Cooperation
  • Participate in project coordination and team meetings.
  • Work collaboratively with staff to improve communication and design.
  • Recommend improvements based on research and best practices.
  • Demonstrate corporate values at all times.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
SELECTION CRITERIA:EDUCATION:
  • Post-secondary education in marketing, communications, or a related field.
  • REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
  • Proven experience in marketing, communications, and event planning.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
OTHER SKILLS AND ASSETS:
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work variable hours.
  • A valid non-probationary Ontario Class G driver's license in good standing
