The Stair Shoppe is a small wood stair business in Calgary, AB T2K 5X2. We are professional, fast-paced, challenging stair manufacturing shop, our goal is to find an employee who fits into our small team and wants to complete their apprenticeship for a Red Seal Carpenter. We have been in business for over 36 years in our present location. This is a full time job from 6:30AM to 5 PM Monday to Thursday. If you have a skill set that would fit into our company we would like to hear from you and your salary expectations. These are the only hours.

Responsibilities:
Work as a team player for:
- Assembly and fabrication of various components to build stairs according to specifications
- Read and interpret work orders, sketches, or product specifications to determine the layout and assembly of parts
- Use hand tools, power tools, and other equipment to cut, shape, and fit materials
- Ensure all work is completed in a timely manner and meets quality standards
Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and other equipment
- Ability to read and interpret work orders, sketches, or product specifications
- Good problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues as they arise
-ability to read a measuring tape
-must have excellent math skills, use of fractions and decimals in imperial system without a calculator as a simple math test will have to be completed upon interview
Ability to lift 34 kg.(75 lbs.) on a ongoing bases daily
-Current first aid training(this must be completed in the first 3 months of employment
Current Forklift operators license(this must be completed within the first 3 months of employment)
Note: Previous experience as a stair builder or in a similar role in a wood working shop is preferred but not required. Training will be provided for candidates with a strong work ethic, math skills and willingness to learn.

Pay: $17.50-$21.50 per hour
