Overview



We are looking for an experienced, energetic and well-organized Custom Fabricator to join the RFP DESIGN GROUP Team. Reporting to the Production Manager, you will be responsible for constructing, assembling, and installing a variety of high-quality, custom millwork objects and components. This is a hands-on role that requires attention to detail and the ability to work with various materials and tools.

The ideal candidate will foster and develop a work environment within Manufacturing that promotes trust, teamwork, performance, quality and safety.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:



Read and interpret drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood, plywood, or other materials to build cabinets Install cabinets in residential or commercial spaces Ensure cabinets are level, plumb, and properly aligned Use hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery to complete tasks Sand surfaces and apply finishes to cabinets Repair or restore existing cabinets as needed Collaborate with designers, contractors, and clients to ensure project success

Experience:



Proven experience as a Cabinet Maker or similar role Strong knowledge of cabinet construction techniques and materials Proficiency in blueprint reading and interpreting technical drawings Ability to operate woodworking machinery and power tools safely Skilled in using hand tools for precise measurements and cuts Familiarity with cabinet installation techniques Knowledge of masonry work for cabinet installation on different surfaces (e.g., concrete) Administrative tasks to support the production department as required

Job Specific Skills:



Experience with CNC machines for cabinet production Excellent attention to detail and craftsmanship Strong problem-solving skills Good communication and collaboration abilities Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements Builds upon modern manufacturing concepts (Lean, cell, etc.) to promote cost savings, quality and overall successful delivery to clients Partners with engineering to ensure the accuracy of drawings and BOM's to ensure smooth and successful manufacturing

Required Qualifications:



Minimum 5 years of hands-on manufacturing experience in the production of retail environments, store fixtures, millwork, metal fabrication and/or other custom multi-material environments Custom Millwork and Cabinetry experience is required Knowledge of modern manufacturing concepts Proven ability to evaluate and improve all phases of manufacturing operations with measurable results Strong communication skills

Manufacturing setting



Day Shift (7:00 - 4:00 pm) with occasional evenings and weekend overtime.

Pay: $25.00-$38.00 per hour
