Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Custodian with security duties to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and order within our facilities. This position requires attention to detail and a commitment to providing a safe and welcoming environment for all staff and visitors.

Responsibilities

Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming to maintain cleanliness in all areas of the facility. Ensure restrooms are clean, stocked, and well-maintained. Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste properly. Maintain floors by stripping, waxing, and buffing as needed. Assist with minor facilities maintenance tasks to ensure the building is in good working condition. Report any maintenance or repair needs to management promptly. Follow safety protocols and procedures while using cleaning chemicals and equipment. Collaborate with team members to ensure all cleaning tasks are completed efficiently. Ensure the safety of all staff and visitors by deescalating situations as they arise. Assist with food donations and distribution of food.

Skills

Experience in commercial cleaning preferred but not required. Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness. Knowledge of facilities maintenance practices is a plus. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Good time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Strong communication skills to interact positively with staff and visitors. Nonviolent intervention.

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract

Pay: $17.25-$28.00 per hour
