Job Description

We are seeking a reliable, experienced and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team! This role is well-suited for someone who enjoys a self-directed position and an active work environment that is physically engaging.

This is a full time, permanent day-shift position, offered Monday-Friday in a busy industrial manufacturing environment. We offer a competitive wage with full benefits, flexible work schedule and great company culture!

As our Custodian, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and overall appearance of our facilities.

Duties:*

Perform routine cleaning tasks throughout our facilities including daily sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming of office spaces, showroom, warehouse, lunchroom, restrooms and production areas
- Empty trash receptacles and replace liners
- Clean and sanitize restrooms and replenish supplies
- Maintain cleanliness of common areas, including hallways, lobbies, and break rooms

Externally, maintain exterior areas such as sidewalks and landscaped areas, seasonally shoveling snow along main pathways and subsequently mowing grass and maintaining landscaping, along with other light maintenance work both internally and externally. Ensure all areas are free of debris and hazards
Report any maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate personnel and follow established safety protocols and use cleaning chemicals in a safe manner

Qualifications:
- Previous experience in facilities maintenance, commercial & industrial cleaning preferred
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in an active environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively
- Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift heavy objects (up to 20 kgs) as required and have combined ability to stand, walk, sit, kneel, climb ladders & stairs for duration of shift
- Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and use of cleaning equipment
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team

- Must hold a valid driver's license with clean drivers abstract

- Experience with the safe operation of a fork-lift is preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00-$24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 44 per week
