Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team (evening shift). The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in our facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for students, staff and visitors. This role requires a proactive approach to cleaning and maintenance tasks, with an emphasis on quality and efficiency.

Duties

Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming of various areas within the facility. Conduct commercial cleaning activities in offices, restrooms, break rooms, and common areas to maintain hygiene standards. Assist with facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs, changing light bulbs, and ensuring that all equipment is functioning properly. Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies as needed to ensure efficient operations. Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel promptly. Follow established safety protocols and procedures while performing cleaning duties.

Skills

Proven experience in cleaning or custodial services, particularly in a commercial setting. Strong knowledge of facilities maintenance practices and techniques. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating reliability and accountability. Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards. Good organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively to complete tasks efficiently. Strong communication skills to interact positively with colleagues and management.
