This is a 2 week rotational, FLY-IN/FLY-OUT position.
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Custodian to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in our facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all employees and visitors. This role requires attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to perform various cleaning and maintenance tasks.
Duties
Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting in designated areas.
Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and common areas to ensure a hygienic environment.
Clean bedrooms, including laundry of sheets and towels.
Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste properly.
Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel.
Ensure all cleaning supplies and equipment are used safely and stored properly.
Collaborate with team members to achieve cleanliness standards across the facility.
Requirements
Previous experience in commercial cleaning or custodial services is preferred but not required.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks that may require lifting, bending, or standing for extended periods.
Excellent time management skills to complete tasks efficiently within designated time frames.
Willing and able to travel; camp accommodations are provided, flights are provided from Hay River and Ft. Smith
Bear awareness training (considered an asset)
Standard First Aid trained with CPR Level A
Security clearance requirements - Criminal Record Check
Driver's License requirements - class 5
Excellent written and verbal skills (English)
