Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in our facilities, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for all employees and visitors. This role requires a proactive approach to cleaning and maintenance tasks, with a focus on commercial cleaning standards.

Responsibilities

Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and sanitizing various areas of the facility. Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, break rooms, and common areas to ensure they meet hygiene standards. Handle waste disposal and recycling in accordance with company policies. Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards. Assist with minor facilities maintenance tasks as required, ensuring all equipment is in good working order. Report any significant maintenance issues or safety concerns to management promptly. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and high standards of cleanliness throughout the facility.

Qualifications

Previous experience in custodial or commercial cleaning roles is preferred but not required. Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and supplies used in facilities maintenance is a plus. Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions effectively. Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks that may involve lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $16.38-$19.58 per hour
