Central New Brunswick Woodlands is looking for a dedicated Custodian to join our team in Deersdale, New Brunswick. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all of the facilities within the Deersdale district are properly maintained and meet JDI Standards.

Qualifications:

• General maintenance skills
• Strong work ethic
• Strong Commitment to safety and safe work practices
• Able to lift 50lbs
• Class 5 driver\xe2\x80\x99s license
• Working knowledge of MS Office Suite and email

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare all bedrooms for occupancy
• Assign rooms to new guests and gather contact information to enter in Reservation System
• Manage room cleaning schedule and ensure rooms are turned over in a timely fashion
• Ensure all Buildings are prepared for the next day by taking out trash, tidying furniture and dusting surfaces
• Sweep and mop floors and vacuum carpets, wash and sanitize toilets, sinks and showers and restock disposables (e.g. soap), wipe mirrors and windows
• Maintain outer premises and work areas
• Perform maintenance and minor repairs such as replacing broken switches, fixing door handles, minor leaks etc\xe2\x80\xa6
• Complete drywall damage repairs and painting
• Report major damages to Building Maintenance Supervisor and oversee repairs
• Shovel snow from the steps and walkways
• Lift and move various items (e.g. moving furniture, appliances, etc\xe2\x80\xa6)
• Position will be required to travel to remote locations and subject to inclement weather conditions.
• Willing to complete physically demanding tasks both indoors and outdoors
• Order cleaning supplies and maintain inventory
• Build and track list of camp equipment, satellite receiver SIN#s, etc\xe2\x80\xa6
• Other duties as assigned
