MDA is a leader in the provision of earth observation systems and services, catering to both the Canadian and international markets. As part of MDA's turnkey satellite services, MDA provides in-services support to satellite ground stations across Canada. MDA's services at the ground station near Prince Albert, Saskatchewan requires the a casual part-time staff member to perform custodial services on-site. The successful applicant would be required to provide facility custodial services on an as-needed, as-requested basis.

Responsibilities:

The work will require a variety of Building Custodial Services that includes:

• Space cleaning, floor care (including stripping and new wax application)
• Sweeping/dust mopping of non-carpeted areas
• Vacuuming of carpets, baseboards, air and return air duct covers
• Vacuuming and cleaning of the chairs, partitions, sills and area underneath the raised operations floor.
• Emptying of trash containers and recycling containers
• Cleaning of restroom sanitary fixtures
• Cleaning of kitchen areas
• Dusting of all furniture
• Various additional custodial services (i.e. replacement of light-bulbs, replenishment of washroom and kitchen supplies)
• Other routine maintenance duties as assigned

Qualifications include:

• Proven working experience as a janitor
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies
• Integrity and ability to work independently

Comments/Special Considerations:

The successful candidate must hold or be eligible to obtain Reliability Security Clearance
