School-Based Custodial Assistant

HFCRD is recruiting a Full-Time Temporary Custodial Assistant starting as soon as a suitable candidate is found at Good Shepherd School in Peace River.

This position has a daytime work schedule of 8 hours a day Monday-Friday

The Custodial Assistant's role is crucial in supporting the Head Custodian to ensure that school grounds are well maintained and clean throughout the year.

The ideal candidate will:

Be conscientious, reliable, and have a consistent work ethic. Have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Have a background or experience in custodial work. Have the ability to work in a confidential and Christ-centered environment. Have the ability to lift 30lbs. Maintain a polite and positive attitude, confidentiality and communicate effectively.

Primary Duties will include:

Cleaning and disinfection of high touch points multiple times during the day. Supplies (paper towels, cloths, soap and disinfectant spray/wipes) checked daily Classroom cleaning/disinfect: Desks, chairs, pencil sharpeners, telephones, doorknobs, light switches, sink faucets, soap dispensers, and all classroom surfaces. Hallways and Corridors cleaning/disinfect: Light switches, elevator buttons, stair railings, entrance door handles, alarm panels, inside handicap door buttons. Washrooms and infirmary rooms - cleaning/disinfecting all surfaces. Offices cleaning/disinfect: Desks, chairs, telephones, light switches, doorknobs, copiers/equipment. Communicate with the supervisor any deficiencies, building, equipment and safety issues. Other duties assigned by the principal, head custodian or maintenance supervisor.

Wage -

Salary dependent on qualifications and experience - $18.37 - $25.08
