Burlington Golf & Country Club (BGCC), a premier private club with a proud curling tradition, is seeking an experienced and motivated Curling Manager to lead and oversee all aspects of the Club's curling program. Reporting to the C.O.O., the Curling Manager will be responsible for ensuring the effective operation, growth, and member satisfaction of the curling section.
Scope of Work
The Curling Manager will be accountable for:
Developing, coordinating, and managing all curling leagues, bonspiels, clinics, and special events.
Collaborating with the Curling Committee and Club Management to establish strategic goals and enhance member engagement.
Coordinating ice usage and scheduling with the Ice Technician to maximize member participation and enjoyment.
Supporting and overseeing league convenors, volunteers, and event organizers.
Preparing and communicating seasonal schedules, results, and program information to members.
Assisting with budgeting, financial management, and reporting for the curling program.
Serving as the primary liaison between the curling membership, the Curling Committee, and Club Management.
Promoting a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all participants.
Qualifications
Significant experience in curling operations, league coordination, or event management.
Strong leadership, organizational, and administrative skills.
Good teacher/instructor who is able to work with people new to the sport and/or teach not only the rules of the game but proper curling techniques.
Charismatic and be able to work with people of all ages and skill level.
Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication abilities.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excell and scheduling/communication platforms.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with committees, volunteers, and club members.
Previous experience within a private club, recreational facility, or hospitality environment is an asset.
Curl Canada Instructor Level 1 (minimum)
Ice Tech. Level 1 (preferred).
Aptitude to learn curling software for management of leagues and events.
Hours of Work
Hours will average 40 per week, with flexibility required for evenings and weekends in alignment with league play, bonspiels, and events.
Some time off during summer months
Compensation
A competitive seasonal honorarium will be provided, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Complimentary meals during scheduled work shifts.

Pay: $55,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
