QUALIFICATIONS

Certification/Experience/Knowledge:

Grade 12 Graduate or equivalent required Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) Certificate required (training delivered by Health Centre upon hire) Must demonstrate ability to respond to all Codes (Red, White, etc) Completion of the Ontario Health Care Housekeepers Association Environmental Services Course for Front Line Staff an asset

Skills/Abilities

:


Ability to clean the physical environment Ability to push/pull carts (1.5 kg to 10 kg force) and lift 18kg Must be willing and prepared to operate all housekeeping related equipment including automatic floor scrubber, vacuum and steam cleaner. Ability to perform the physical demands of the position including continuous/frequent: walking, bending, pushing, pulling, lifting (up to 18 kg), twisting and the ability to climb ladders as required. Must be able to work with minimal supervision Good organizational, interpersonal and communication skills required Must be available for scheduled shifts and call-ins Good attendance and work record required Must demonstrate commitment to ensure your safety, the safety of fellow workers, patients volunteers and visitors Must support and contribute to a culture of safety and prevention of adverse health events in this organization Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset
