Applications are invited for the regular part time position of Cultural & Global Engagement Events + Promotions Coordinator in the Cultural & Global Engagement Division. The starting salary is $26.26 /hr for a 24 hour work week. Additional hours may be required at peak times during the year, surrounding the Be World Ready annual program cycle. Campus location may vary during times of events and promotions but will be based in Welland.
Reporting to the Associate Director Cultural & Global Engagement (C&GE), the incumbent is a key member of the Be World Ready team and strong collaborator with the Marketing & Recruitment Division at Niagara College.
The Cultural & Global Engagement Events + Promotions Coordinator will assist in the planning and coordination of strategic branding and integrated marketing initiatives to support the achievement of Niagara College\'s signature study and work abroad program, Be World Ready (BWR).
Working closely and collaboratively with the Marketing & Recruitment Division the incumbent will support the increased awareness and enrollment of both domestic and international audiences to increase participation in the various BWR initiative. The successful incumbent will be responsible to manage the BWR marketing ticket request portal crafting and supplying written copy and content that will help optimize and engage prospective students, applicants, and key influencers through online, virtual and traditional media channels. While also supporting the development of internal BWR material updates and requests including the BWR website.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Manage Be World Ready marketing tickets, ensuring timely completion and coordination with the Marketing Division
  • Contribute to the development and monitoring of the annual Be World Ready marketing plan, working closely with the Niagara College Marketing department
  • Assist in creating and refining digital assets for Marketing department approval, including video, photo content, graphics, and promotional materials for various platforms
  • Consult with the Be World Ready and NC marketing department on web goals, ensuring compliance with appearance and usability standards
  • Collaborate with the Cultural & Global Engagement team to develop and update various content such as copy, presentations, templates, and BWR materials
  • Represent BWR at College-wide events, overseeing in-person promotions on and off-campus as needed
  • Plan and execute engaging events and activities to enhance BWR program awareness for both prospective and registered students
  • Coordinate with student assistants to support BWR marketing objectives and events plans

Qualifications:

  • 2 year diploma or equivalent in Marketing, Digital or Graphic Design, Social Media Management, Business Administration \xe2\x80\x93 Marketing, Communications, Advertising, Media Studies or similar field of study
  • 2 years of demonstrated experience with marketing and media content development
  • Demonstrated intercultural competence
  • Experience working with or participating in the Be World Ready program is considered an asset
