About Us



Segra is a young, dynamic company in the cannabis science space, focusing on large-scale cultivation of cannabis tissue culture for corporate clients around the world.

Duties include but are not limited to:



Supporting plant related activities such as: transplanting, inspections, watering, and as directed by the Operations Manager.

Supporting sanitation related activities such as: cleaning of rooms, tools and other materials. This work can be physically challenging and requires you to work in tight spaces, on your feet all day, operating a pressure washer, or using a mop.

Communicate with Team members and Cultivation Assistant efficiently and in a timely manner when tasks are completed, or direction is required.

Operate machinery as required (e.g., foamer, pressure washer)

Working outside on occasion, when asked.

Inventory of plants as required.

Members of the Cultivation team are expected to:



Follow and enforce all regulatory requirements under the Cannabis Act and Regulations as well as Segra's Standard Operating Procedures.

Document activities and ensure all production and traceability records are completed to the highest standard, as directed by the Operations Manager.

Support the Team Lead to help complete day to day tasks.

Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination, with strong attention to detail

Ability to read, understand and follow the Cannabis Regulations and Segra's procedures.

Ability to work closely with others

CTLS Security Clearance (preferred)

Candidates may have the Opportunity to learn how to:

Identify and diagnose molds/mildews, signs and symptoms of insect pests and plant deficiencies

Complete cloning, seed propagation and plant maintenance, transplanting.

Learn about growing conditions and natural patterns of the cannabis plant

Develop Leadership and Team Work skills that will be with you forever

Education & Experience

(a combination of education and experience will be considered):

Horticultural program or bachelor's degree in agriculture sciences is an asset, but not required

Experience within the industry and/or greenhouse environment is an asset, but not required

Hands on experience with the plant is an asset, but not required

Conditions of employment:

Must be 18+ with the ability to obtain and maintain an RCMP security clearance throughout your employment.

Job Specific Demands:



Applicants must be fit and able to lift 50 lbs comfortably. Applicants must be flexible to work variable shifts and have reliable transportation. Hours are full time but may include weekends or evenings, depending on production needs. Some tasks require standing or sitting for extended periods of time.

Our Environment:



Plants like heat and humidity. To be successful in this position you need to be comfortable working in an enclosed environment with high heat and humidity, wear protective clothing, hair covering and other Personal Protective Equipment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
