looking for dependable and motivated individuals to join our Culinary team at Canada Life Centre.


As a part of Culinary team, youwill be responsible for preparing safe, nutritious and appetizing food while delivering superior service at Canada Life Centre.

What to be excited for in this role:

Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner to meet service demands. Prepare, cook and assemble menu items according to established recipes and standards using quality methods in a timely manner. Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure quality control and log them. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations. Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines, including proper food handling techniques. Collaborate with kitchen and service employees, management, and other stakeholders. Help train new kitchen staff in proper cooking techniques and safety practices. Perform other duties as required that align with the responsibilities of the role and the needs of the organization.

What we need from you:



Previous experience in the food industry or as a cook is preferred. Sushi preparation experience an asset. Knowledge of kitchen equipment, cooking methods, and food preparation techniques. Strong understanding of food safety regulations and best practices. Commitment to maintaining cleanliness and food safety standards. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers and customers in a professional and courteous manner. Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently. Reliable, punctual, and regular in attendance. Capability to stand, walk, and move for extended periods. Flexible schedule, with the ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
