About the Role



As a CT Technologist, you will work independently to perform high-quality CT exams in alignment with departmental policies and procedures, while maintaining a focus on patient safety and comfort. You'll collaborate with a small, dynamic team of modality technologists and support staff to ensure seamless patient care and clinic operations.

Key Responsibilities



Conduct CT examinations in accordance with site protocols, including advanced procedures such as Cardiac CTA exams. Evaluate scans and adapt imaging approaches based on patient pathology. Monitor patients for potential reactions to contrast media and provide emergency response, including CPR if necessary. Utilize RIS and PACS systems to verify patient and image information and manage workflows effectively. Perform venipuncture for contrast CT patients and monitor post-procedure recovery. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to maintain optimal scanner performance. Maintain a clean, organized CT workspace and ensure equipment is stocked and operational. Collaborate with the team to facilitate efficient patient flow, from requisition checks to prior image retrieval.

Qualifications



Current CAMRT Certification and completion of an advanced specialty program in Computed Tomography. Certification in Intravenous Therapy and CPR - Basic Life Support level (BCLS). Cardiac CTA experience and knowledge of cardiac anatomy are assets. Familiarity with Siemens CT scanners is a plus.

Strong technical expertise in CT theory, safety protocols, and digital imaging systems. Excellent communication skills to engage with patients, families, and healthcare professionals. Ability to work independently while thriving in a collaborative, small-team environment. Physical ability to perform the duties of the role.
