Job Summary



We are seeking a skilled and dedicated CT Technologist to join our medical imaging team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in diagnostic radiology, including CT scans, and possess a strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology. This role involves performing advanced imaging procedures in a fast-paced healthcare environment, ensuring accurate diagnostics and patient safety. Experience with nuclear medicine, sonography, mammography, DEXA scans, PET scans, and working within trauma centers is highly desirable. The CT Technologist will play a vital role in supporting emergency medicine and urgent care services while maintaining the highest standards of aseptic technique and diagnostic evaluation.

Responsibilities



Perform high-quality CT scans and other diagnostic imaging procedures with precision and attention to detail. Assist in the preparation of patients for imaging procedures, explaining processes clearly and ensuring patient comfort. Operate advanced imaging equipment including PET scanners, DEXA scanners, mammography units, and other diagnostic radiology tools. Ensure adherence to aseptic techniques and safety protocols during all procedures to prevent contamination and ensure patient safety. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to interpret imaging results accurately for diagnostic evaluation. Maintain detailed documentation of procedures performed, patient information, and technical data in compliance with hospital policies. Monitor equipment functionality regularly and report any malfunctions or safety concerns promptly. Stay current with advancements in medical imaging technology and participate in ongoing professional development.

Qualifications



Certification as a Radiologic Technologist with specialized training or certification in CT imaging. Knowledge of nuclear medicine, sonography, mammography, DEXA scans, PET scans, and related modalities is highly advantageous. Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and diagnostic radiology principles. Experience working within urgent care environments or emergency medicine settings is a plus. Familiarity with aseptic techniques and infection control practices is essential for safe imaging procedures. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining accuracy in high-stakes situations. Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and explain procedures to patients. Job Type: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 3 months

Pay: $60.00 per hour
