This position provides administrative, clerical and financial support to the department assigned in the Community Services Division as required. This position also provides customer service support internally and externally.
As our preferred candidate, you will have:
Successful completion of a one-year diploma from a recognized college in Secretarial Science, Office Administration, Business Administration, or equivalent, including courses in accounting.
2 years of experience in an administrative position that included financial and accounting responsibilities.
Experience working with databases or systems will be considered an asset.
Developed ability and skill in using common business software such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote, and ability to learn and adapt to new and emerging software(s) as business need requires.
Ability to type 50wpm accurately.

Demonstrated ability to accurately produce, type, and assemble material from rough notes, handwritten information, and conversations to a professional quality documents.
Demonstrated ability to work proficiently in many different software applications and data bases based on portfolio requirements (e.g. JD Edwards, Tempest, GIS, Work Management, Intelli).
Ability to acquire and retain knowledge of The City organization and relevant policies and procedures and keep informed of current City issues.
Must be prepared to continue to the learning process and show an aptitude to personally enhance skills with respect to technology.

Remuneration:
$34.44 to $36.26 per hour.
Hours of Work:
56.25 hours biweekly, Monday to Friday. Some evening and weekend work may be required.
