and Profile of ideal candidate
The Customer Service Representative is primarily responsible for providing customer service & sales support to the organization. This will be achieved by providing high level customer service to clients, and through excellent telephone, sales, and communications skills. You are also responsible for initiating and/or implementing corrective action as needed in order to ensure that an excellent standard of service and a high level of customer satisfaction are achieved. Job summary:
Core duties and responsibilities
Respond promptly to customer service & sales inquiries in a courteous and professional manner (phone & email)
Receive and process orders via different media (email, fax, phone)
Provide quotes on stocking and specialty items; liaise with various departments to obtain the information required for the customer
Confirm & invoice orders, provide invoice copies on request
Issue return authorizations, process credits, and explain as well as administer credit policies, return policies, etc.
Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner
Filing and maintaining an organized work environment
Support Sales team by periodically contacting smaller & dormant accounts with the goal of increasing orders/ sales
Participate in annual inventory
Skills and Requirements
Fluent verbal and written communication skills in English, French an asset!
MUST be organized and able to manage time, can meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Quick learner, able to acquire knowledge about the full range of products Optibelt offers
Strong computer skills (MS Office, Internet, AS400 knowledge an asset)
Speaks clearly in positive or negative situations
Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness
Experience in similar customer service/ sales support position
Able to build and maintain relationships with customers
Nice to have
Experience in opportunity qualification, pre-call planning, call control, account development/management
Industry experience
Experience with customer relationship management software
