The Lake Bonavista Community Association (LBCA) is a registered non-profit organization under the Societies Act of Alberta. It is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors and supported by dedicated staff and volunteers. The LBCA recreation facility features two ice rinks, a gymnasium, a fitness studio, multi-purpose rooms, and office spaces.
Position Summary:
The Customer Service Representative serves as a primary point of contact for LBCA customers, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring a positive experience. This role involves processing registrations, bookings, payments, and other administrative tasks while maintaining accurate records. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment are essential for success in this role.
Responsibilities:
Respond to customer inquiries via in-person visits, phone calls, and emails, ensuring they are directed appropriately.
Provide friendly, professional customer engagement while actively listening and addressing concerns.
Maintain and update customer records in the LBCA database.
Process registrations, facility bookings and payments for drop-in sessions, programs, and events.
Support special events, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
Assist with facility setup and takedown as required.
Learn and utilize LBCA digital platforms, including Active Net, WordPress, SharePoint, social media (Instagram, Facebook), Microsoft Office, and other relevant systems.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
Capable of thriving in a dynamic, fast-paced setting that requires physical stamina, including prolonged standing, walking,
Qualifications:
Ability to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
Strong administrative and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs and various social media platforms.
Experience with Active Net is an asset.
Bookkeeping experience is an asset
Experience in website and social media management is an asset.
Schedule:
4-7-hour shifts Monday - Friday
Evenings and Weekends as needed
Shifts may vary based on facility and office needs
The CSR supports special events on evenings and weekends as well front desk duties for modified office hours on some statutory holidays.
Compensation:
$15.00-$24.00/hour
