About the role
The CSC Lead Software Engineer is responsible for the execution of software engineering across CSC IPTs in accordance with internal Lockheed Martin processes and customer requirements. The key activities this role will be responsible for are as follows:

  • Oversee execution of program software engineering activities being performed by the IPTs
  • Provide support to the customer for software engineering and software assurance activities as requested
  • Participate in software engineering and software assurance working group meetings in support of collaboratively enabling software development
  • Participates in the program SEIT
  • Software risk management
  • Engages with the CSC EPM and E&T as it relates to the software engineering discipline
  • Responsible for overall performance of software engineering activities via review of metrics and status from the IPTs
  • Oversight of the implementation of the program Software Management Plan and Software Development Plans
  • Ownership of various software engineering and software assurance SDRLs and other deliverables
  • Support configuration management of all software as it relates to the program design baseline
  • Develop, maintain, and communicate software schedules to all internal and external stakeholders
  • Support development and review of various software contract and subcontract deliverables.
What you bring to the role
  • Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent
  • 14+ years experience in working on Software Development projects
  • 8+ years experience in a software leadership role
  • Experience leading a multi-disciplinary team
  • Must have an aptitude for solving challenging problems in a team environment
  • Must have a high degree of initiative and autonomy
  • Experience in developing Software Development Project Estimates
  • Experience with customer interaction
  • Understanding of Earned Value Management Principles
  • Agile Scrum Master and Product Owner experience
  • Knowledge of Agile software development process
  • Knowledge of the software development life-cycle
  • Well organized, capable of planning, scheduling and prioritizing work
  • Aptitude for solving challenging problems in a team environment
  • Good communicator: concise and clear written and oral communication
  • Must have experience working extensively with Customers on a daily basis
  • Must be able to obtain NATO Secret security clearance
Additional skills desired for the role
  • Experience with Naval Combat Systems integration is considered an asset
  • Experience with IBM DOORS is considered an asset
  • Experience with Dassault/No Magic Cameo is considered an asset
  • Experience with integration and test is considered an asset
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite including Project is considered an asset
  • Experience as a Control Account Manager (CAM) is considered an asset
