Job Summary

Crusher Mechanic Terus Construction Ltd is seeking a full-time Crusher Mechanic to support operations throughout the province of BC. The majority of operations are in the East and West Kootenay regions. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will provide support to complete daily repairs and preventive maintenance and perform related assigned tasks and duties. Travel to operations and project sites will be required. The Crusher Mechanic will be required to perform repairs and maintenance on all types of crushing and support equipment

Duties / Tasks:

• Perform equipment repairs and preventive maintenance in a timely manner.
• Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine extent of repair(s) required.
• Assist in completing all maintenance inspections.
• Ensure all repairs completed are documented.
• Record any equipment deficiencies.
• Organization and scheduling of all repairs, inspections, and parts purchasing.

Qualifications/Experience

• Millwright or Heavy Duty Mechanic ticket is an asset.
• Minimum of 5 years experience working on crushing equipment.
• Knowledge of Cone and Jaw Crushing Plants and Screen Decks is required.
• Knowledge of Frequency Drives and Soft Starts is an asset.
• Strong technical knowledge and mechanical aptitude to perform service on various equipment ranging from heavy duty equipment to small engine and parts.
• Ability to work independently with minimal direction.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask is a must.
• Team player.
• Proficient in computers / tablets for daily maintenance records, timecards, reporting.

Requirements

• 
  Must be able to work respecting safety policies and procedures. Perform duties safely around mobile equipment and have a high sense of safety awareness while performing his/ her work.
• Must be willing to work overtime.
• Extensive travel throughout the operating area is required.
• Use of Personal Protection Equipment is required.
• Must comply with the company’s drug and alcohol policy, including testing requirements.
• Must comply with all company policies.
• Valid drivers license.
