About the role:

The Municipality of Colchester is seeking a reliable person to work as a Spare Crossing Guard for

Valley Elementary School

and

Redcliff Middle School

. Our Crossing Guards play an important role in keeping children safe on their way to and from school. The ideal candidate must be a responsible, reliable, safety-driven, and community-minded individual who will maintain positive public relations and who has a sincere interest in this type of work. The successful candidate will fill in for regular crossing guards and have the availability to accept most on-call shifts. There are two hour-long shifts (morning and afternoon) each day, Monday-Friday. This casual position will fill in on an as-needed on-call basis, at times on short notice.

Salary:

$18.00 per hour, plus 6% vacation pay. Salary also includes any scheduled school in-service days and any school closures due to winter storm conditions.

Education & experience required:



Experience working with children or in a public safety-oriented role is a strong asset Must have own transportation to commute to either crosswalk
