OVERVIEW




The Cross-Cultural Trainer will develop and deliver interactive Cross-Cultural Training (CCT) workshops to middle and high school students. This role requires a dynamic and engaging presenter who is passionate about working with youth, fostering inclusion, and challenging bias in meaningful ways. The Trainer will balance program development and office work with travel to schools to deliver sessions and build strong relationships with educators.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES



Develop, adapt, and deliver cross-cultural training presentations for middle and high school students. Engage youth through dynamic, inclusive, and interactive facilitation. Create and update training materials using PowerPoint, Canva, and other tools. Collaborate with school staff to schedule and tailor presentations to meet student needs. Build and maintain strong relationships with schools and community partners. Continuously research, learn, and integrate best practices in cultural awareness, equity, and inclusion. Provide feedback on program delivery and recommend improvements. Maintain accurate records of sessions delivered and prepare reports as needed.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS



Minimum of a diploma in education, social sciences, communications, or a related field; a degree is considered an asset. Confident public speaker with experience engaging youth audiences. Proficiency in PowerPoint and Canva; skilled at adapting and creating visual presentations. Strong interpersonal skills with a warm, inclusive, and approachable communication style. Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and addressing personal and systemic bias. Excellent time management: able to handle multiple priorities and work independently. Valid Class 5 driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle (mileage reimbursed).

WORK ENVIRONMENT



Combination of office-based work (developing materials, preparing presentations) and travel to schools for program delivery. Flexible scheduling based on school calendars and program needs.
