Job Requirements:

  • Current certificate of registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • Post Graduate courses in Adult Physical Assessment, Respiratory Systems and Cardiology
  • Mechanical Ventilation knowledge
  • Certified Defibrillation/Pacemaker
  • Central line knowledge and skill
  • P.C.A pumps
  • Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (A.C.L.S.)
  • Critical Care Certificate
  • Coronary Care Course Level 1
  • Proven ability to adapt to a fast paced and changing environment
  • Must be able to fulfill all physical requirements of the job, as per current Physical Demands Analysis
  • Must meet expectations for appropriate, respectful and professional conduct, as set out in the GBGH Code of Conduct
  • Demonstrated commitment to exceptional customer service
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively using both oral and written format with patients, families, colleagues and the interprofessional team
  • Demonstrated experience working independently and within a team setting
  • Demonstrated excellent problem solving ability, critical thinking and organizational skills
  • Commitment to professional growth and development of self and others
  • Demonstrated satisfactory work performance and attendance history

Departments: As a member of the Critical Care Float team you will be crossed trained in both the Emergency Department and ICU.

Hours of Work: We have a range of shifts available and can discuss flexible work patterns to meet demands of work life balance.

Salary: $35.52 - $50.85 an hour
