The Labourer is responsible for performing various physical tasks to support oil and gas operations, including assisting with the setup and maintenance of equipment, maintaining work sites, and supporting crews in both field and operational environments. This role requires working in challenging outdoor conditions and adhering to strict safety protocols.
The Employee's duties shall include, but are not limited to, the following:
Safety and Compliance:
Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
Adhere to all safety policies and regulations to ensure safe operation of equipment
Wear and maintain appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) including coveralls, hardhats, gloves, boots, and safety glasses.
Report safety concerns or incidents immediately to supervisors or safety officers.
Follow and Participate in the Resolve HSE program
Maintain current certifications and training for operating crew vehicles, pickers and any additional equipment used in the field.
Monitor and report any unsafe conditions, incidents, or accidents promptly to supervisors.
Follow and Participate in the Resolve HSE program
Maintain 100% Compliance Rating on WorkHub
Maintain Valid First Aid, H2S and CSO Certificates
Decommissioning Site Preparation and Support:
Maintain cleanliness of work areas, ensuring they are free of hazards, debris, and obstructions.
Support the decommissioning of oil and gas sites, including well sites, facilities, tanks, pipelines, and related machinery.
Assist in the dismantling and removal of structures, piping, equipment, and other infrastructure.
Load, unload, and transport materials, tools, and scrap using the crew truck.
Prepare work areas by setting up barriers, signage, and clearing debris.
Perform general labor tasks, including lifting, carrying, digging, trenching, and assembling/disassembling equipment.
Assist with the unloading, loading, and transporting of materials to and from the job site.
Operate basic tools and machinery, such as shovels, hammers, wrenches, and power tools, as needed.
Equipment and Tool Handling:
Assist in operating and maintaining smaller equipment such as hand tools, pressure washers, or power generators.
Monitor equipment for malfunctions or damage and report issues to supervisors.
Use hand tools (cutting torches, grinders, saws, etc.) as needed for deconstruction tasks.
Maintain tools and equipment in clean and good working condition.
Report damaged or unsafe tools and equipment immediately.
Cleanup and Waste Management
Perform site cleanup including sweeping, removing debris, and collecting scrap materials.
Sort and dispose of waste in compliance with environmental and site regulations.
Material Handling and Logistics:
Transport equipment, tools, and materials to and from the job site, ensuring proper storage and handling.
Maintain inventory control by ensuring materials and supplies are replenished and organized.
Team Communication and Support
Work closely with picker operators, riggers, and supervisors to complete tasks efficiently.
Take direction from site leads or foremen and provide support across all decom operations.
Maintain a positive attitude and contribute to a strong safety culture and team environment
.
Physical Demands:
Ability to lift and carry heavy materials and equipment up to 50 pounds.
Must be able to stand, kneel, squat, bend, and drive for extended periods of time.
Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in various weather conditions.
Capable of performing manual labor as part of unloading and securing equipment.
Working Conditions:
Primarily field-based work, which may include working in remote locations, outdoors, or in challenging environmental conditions.
Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and irregular hours based on project needs.
May be required to travel to different job sites as needed.
