This position is responsible for the supervision and coordination of a crew; the reporting of all relevant site/project activities; and, managing the quality of work performed in a safe manner. You will be based out of our Dartmouth office and work around the province.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervision of a site/project crew including completion of jobs
Ensure site resources (labour, machinery, materials, etc.) are effectively and appropriately utilized and monitored in order to achieve timely completion of projects.
Monitor and correct job performance and quality to ensure profitability and high level of quality resulting in meeting or exceeding customer satisfaction.
Provide support to crew members as first point of contact.
Monitor equipment to ensure it is maintained in good working condition.
Comply with all health and safety regulations and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment as required.
Prerequisites/Requirements
Relevant community college diploma or equivalent experience.
Class 5 Driver's License with Trailer Endorsement or willingness to complete. Air brakes endorsement considered an asset.
A strong foundation in Building Science and minimum 5 years progressive construction related experience.
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in English both verbally and in writing.
Strong organizational skills.
Ability to lead a team and motivate others to get the job done while maintaining safety, quality and productivity.
Ability to lift 50 pounds on a repetitive basis.
Ability to provide clean drivers abstract and criminal records background check.
Decision Making
This position makes daily operational decisions and all would be within standard operating procedures.
Inside/Outside Relationships
This position deals with employees and customers on a regular basis and must be able to maintain a professional and business-like attitude at all times.
Position Conditions
This position works in both a warehouse environment and at customer building sites both inside and outside and must monitor and adhere to various safety guidelines. This position must have the flexibility to stand, sit, walk, or bend as required and must be able to lift 50 pounds on a repetitive basis.

Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour
