Position Description:

Our Calgary location currently has an opportunity for an experienced Crew Chief, Utility Services. In this field position, you will be:
  • Leading a crew performing powerline, construction, and all other types of field surveying
  • Completion of survey calculations
  • Communication with clients, field representatives and site supervisors
Qualifications:
  • Degree or Diploma in Geomatics from a recognized technical school with three years' survey experience, or equivalent combinations of education and experience
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license (abstract required at the time of interview)
  • Willingness and availability to work a varied schedules based on client demands. This may include working in remote locations, occasional rotational schedules and extended workdays (overtime eligible)
  • Travel out of town will be required
  • Safety training (i.e. H2S, First Aid, ATV, etc.) is required and will be provided as needed
  • Compliance with our drug and alcohol policy, which includes screening, is mandatory
  • Physical ability to perform the requirements of the job
  • Willingness to work in all types of weather conditions
  • Experience with operating survey equipment, including total stations and RTK GNSS system
  • Familiarity with all facets of facility and municipal surveying, including but not limited to underground and overhead distribution surveying, transmission line surveying, cadastral/legal surveying, and as-built surveys
  • Prior oilfield surveying experience is an asset but not required
