TDG is seeking a
Credit & Collections Manager
for our East Garafraxa head office.
The Credit & Collections Manager will be responsible for maintaining, supervising and recommending Credit policies and procedures, including the investigation of new customers, extending credit lines, granting credit and following up. Responsibilities will include providing leadership and coaching to the Credit team, providing consistently exceptional customer service, providing frontline credit application adjudication and for the overall Credit & Collections function within the organization.
Requirements:
Effective communication skills with individuals at all levels of the organization and customers
Ability to multi task with strong time management skills
Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook) and ERP system
Strong problem solving, decision making & judgment skills
Able to mentor and lead team to develop staff
Ensure staff development through Credit workshops/webinars/seminars
Thorough understanding of A/R function and risk management
Able to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
CCP designation
University degree (Business preferred)
Minimum 5 years experience in similar role
Job Duties:
Coordinate credit & collections efforts for all TDG locations
Develop, implement and enforce company Credit policies and procedures
Analyze and approve the credit worthiness of all existing or new accounts with credit limits up to $200,000
Gather & present data/recommendations to CFO on high limit accounts for approval
Provide guidance to Credit Analysts in establishing the appropriate customer credit limits up to $20k
Plan customer visits to review financial information and nurture relationships
Review problem accounts for escalation to collections and/or legal action
Train and mentor staff to develop team overall skills and experience
Negotiate outsourced credit services (CLR reports & collection fees)
Participate in general clerical functions in department as needed
Participate in Credit workshops/webinars to update job knowledge
Other duties as assigned
