Location: Toronto Hybrid

You will support the manager and team by performing different forms of credit-based analysis on merchants, reviewing merchant's that trigger in the Fraud queue for out-of-pattern processing, and decision the release of funds held, and providing customer service to merchants on all readjudication-related issues. You will report to the Manager, Credit - IB Re-adjudication.

Your Moneris Career - What you'll do

  • Perform transaction verifications by fax or phone with other financial institutions (Issuers, Acquirers or Cardholders) to assess legitimacy of transactions and assess risk.
  • Post review of merchants who are in need of a line increase (re-adjudication) specifically in processing volume level or transaction sizes.
  • Accountable to respond to inquiries received from merchants, Fraud Containment staff and other Moneris departments regarding re-adjudication.
  • Ensure that merchants are kept informed on the re-adjudication process and are aware of how and where to obtain status updates.
  • Help with customer calls requiring explanation of specific credit policies and decisions related to those policies.
  • Provide ongoing education and support to internal and external clients concerning credit policies, fraud detection and monitoring activities.
  • Perform credit risk assessment of existing merchants which includes developing an understanding of the business profile by analyzing personal, business and financial information to ensure compliance with credit, fraud, card association regulation and legal matters.
  • Apply appropriate underwriting criteria to all merchant applications following established credit policy to ensure financial risk is mitigated.
  • Work with Moneris Fraud Group to monitor the activity of selected High Risk Merchants.
  • Review and provide additional documentation for re-adjudication referrals.
  • Provide back up and support.
  • Comply with corporate policies established by Moneris Corporation including the HR Code of Conduct, Technology Policy & Privacy Policy.
  • Perform other duties, as required.
Your Moneris Career - What you bring

Must-have...
  • Minimum 3years of experience in retail and commercial credit analysis
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Business or Finance
  • Equivalent work experience may be considered a substitution.
  • Solid experience in personal credit bureaus, commercial credit bureaus, and financial statement analysis.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Windows/ MS Office Applications.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must have excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Capability to "think outside of the box".
  • Good analytical skills with attention to detail
