Publicis Toronto is looking for an Intermediate Advertising Creative Team (Art Director and Copywriter) to join us full time in our studio. Ideally, this team would have experience working together in a creative agency environment and are comfortable to join a fast-paced studio to work on an automotive client.
Art Director:
Participates with other members of the design team to create and execute visually appealing and motivating layouts, from brochure design to logos, conceptual thinking to relationship marketing, and advertising to direct mail
ctively participates in team meetings to discuss assignment parameters
Applies knowledge of required software design tools to design and art direct small and/or non-complex aspects of client assignments per direction from the Senior Art Director
Assignments include preliminary drafts of non-complex print ads, tables, charts, outdoor boards, logos, table tents, banners, bus boards and wraps and anywhere else a client might entice the consumer with strategic messages
Accomplishes this through personal efforts and by effectively managing specific aspects of larger projects, less experienced team members, and outside freelancers
Checks and tweaks approved layouts to conform to house style and ensures that internal deadlines, timetables and approval procedures are adhered to for assigned project phases
Helps develop tools and recommendations to improve current processes that impact client deliverables. Gains exposure to physical production process and photoshoot and illustrator management.
Develops and maintains a working knowledge of client\'s business, industry and marketing needs
Expands personal knowledge of promotion, management techniques and current state-of-the-art production techniques
Works enthusiastically with account team, production, traffic, and other creatives in a collaborative environment
Copywriter:
Assists creative team by contributing to concepting and producing white papers, copy decks and presentation materials for internal and external presentations
Generates copy that is grammatically correct and stylistically appropriate for a variety of media and targets
Learns and applies promotional tactics
Develops and maintains a working knowledge of client\'s business, industry and marketing needs
Increases understanding and awareness of best practices, necessary technical knowledge and skill advances through attendance at trade and professional meetings and seminars, trade shows, perusal of the literature, and use of supplementary educational activities
