Are you a creative and energetic individual with a passion for the arts and youth skill development? BGC London is seeking a Creative Arts Program Facilitator to lead engaging, hands-on arts programming for children & youth ages 4-18
through the BGC London Rural Hubs serving Thorndale, Ilderton, Dorchester, Komoka, and Lucan.
In this role, you'll inspire young people to explore self-expression, creativity, and artistic skills through fun, interactive programming and workshops. Whether it's painting, drama, music, crafts, or multimedia projects, you'll help children and youth build confidence, teamwork, and a sense of accomplishment. You'll be part of a mission-driven team committed to equity, empowerment, and creating meaningful opportunities for children and youth in rural areas.

Qualifications:
Demonstrated passion and talent in one or more creative arts disciplines (e.g., visual arts, drama, music, crafts, digital media)
Experience facilitating child and youth programs in community, camp, or educational settings
Passion for youth development, skill building, and rural community engagement
Current Vulnerable Sector Police Clearance issued by local police
Current First Aid C.P.R. Level C Certificate required (or willingness to obtain)
Safe Food Handling certification (or willingness to obtain).
Access to a vehicle or reliable transportation.
Formal education in creative arts is an asset but not required.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the development and facilitation of high-quality programs focused on life skills, creative arts, leadership.
Foster a safe, fun, and supportive environment for children and youth to learn and engage in activities.
Supervise & mentor youth, provide guidance, encouragement & behavior management as needed.
Adapt programming to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
Work with program managers and other part-time staff to ensure smooth program delivery.
Collaborate with guest speakers and community partners to enhance program quality.
Support volunteers, other staff, placement students by providing guidance & performance feedback.
Ensure all activities follow safety protocols and risk management procedures.
Act as the first point of contact for emergency situations, ensuring proper procedures are followed.
Maintain an organized and hazard-free program environment.
Collect and analyze participant feedback to assess program effectiveness.
Prepare evaluation reports summarizing outcomes and recommendations for improvement.
Maintain accurate attendance records and incident reports.
