Overview

We are seeking a

dedicated and detail-oriented Crating, Packing & Shipping Technician

to join our team on a

part-time basis

, with the potential for

full-time employment

. The successful candidate will play a key role in our

manufacturing, crating, and shipping operations

, ensuring all products are accurately packaged, crated, and prepared for safe distribution.

This position requires hands-on shop experience, a solid understanding of warehouse and logistics processes, and the ability to work both

independently and efficiently

in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Build custom wood crates and pallets with precision - Using power tools such as table saws, circular saws, drills, and air tools. Pack and prepare products for shipment, ensuring secure packaging to prevent damage in transit. Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment to load and unload shipments safely. Perform shipping and receiving tasks, including verifying incoming goods and preparing outgoing orders. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area with well-stocked materials and supplies. Work collaboratively to meet production goals while following all safety procedures. Perform basic math calculations for crate dimensions, order accuracy, and inventory management.

Requirements

Valid Class 5 driver's licence

with a clean driving record.

Bondable

and able to successfully pass a

criminal background check

.

Physically fit

and able to safely lift and move moderate to heavy items as required.

Fluent in spoken and written English

with clear communication skills. Must be

reliable, safety-minded, and drug- and alcohol-free while on duty.

Previous experience in a

woodworking, packing, or shipping environment

preferred. Proficient with

hand and power tools

. Experience with

order picking, fulfillment, and basic math

. Strong attention to detail, dependability, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 - 32 per week
