CANA Services is looking for an experienced safety-conscious Crane Rigger to join our team. You will be responsible for assisting crane operators in lifting, moving, and positioning heavy materials and equipment at construction sites. Your role will include rigging loads, ensuring proper weight distribution, while maintaining safety standards.




KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES






Follow safe work procedures to assist the crane operator with lifting, lowering, or moving materials and loads. Understand lifting and load bearing capacities of the tower crane. Securing loads with suitable lifting equipment. Communicate with operator via two-way radio and/or hand signals. Signal and direct trucks on site for loading and offloading. Inspecting rigging equipment. Rig in decks and fly tables.



REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILTIES




To be successful in the role:


Previous experience as a Crane Rigger or similar role. Knowledge of rigging techniques and equipment. Ability to work at heights and in outdoor environments. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Certification in rigging or crane operation is an asset.





WORKING CONDITIONS




Candidates are required to be in good physical condition with the ability to lift 50 lbs repeatedly and fit for work. This position requires candidates to work on project sites outside in all seasons and weather. Additional shifts, night shifts and holiday shifts may be required.
