Overview

We are seeking a Crane Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating the crane and heavy machinery to lift, move, and position materials and equipment on construction sites or in industrial settings. This role requires strong communication skills, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work collaboratively with team members to ensure efficient operations.

Duties

Operate cranes, including boom trucks and rigs, to transport materials safely and efficiently. Perform pre-operational checks on equipment to ensure safety and functionality. Communicate effectively with ground crew and other operators to coordinate lifting operations. Follow all safety protocols and regulations while operating heavy machinery. Maintain accurate records of equipment usage and maintenance. Troubleshoot mechanical issues as needed, utilizing strong mechanical knowledge. Assist in the training of new operators or team members when required. Provide excellent customer service by addressing client needs and concerns on-site.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Crane Operator or in a similar role within the construction or industrial sector. Valid crane operator certification is required; additional certifications in forklift operation are a plus. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform basic maintenance on equipment. Excellent communication skills to facilitate teamwork and customer interactions. Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a focus on safety and quality standards. Physical stamina and strength to handle the demands of operating heavy machinery and helping deck crew. Experience working on the water / barge experience is an asset but not required.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $30.00-$50.00 per hour
